Welcome to Therasoft Online Blog

This blog has been created to provide our users and anyone else who may be interested in Therasoft Online to share their comments and experiences with our software and our people who work very hard, behind the scenes, to make it possible for Therasoft to be successful.

Therasoft provides an integrated platform for Therapists. Includes Record Keeping, Billing, Credit card payment processing, Insurance claims filing as well as Progress notes and Reporting. Excellent transaction fee rates for payment processing lowers the cost of credit card transactions. The “One-Click Electronic Claims” filing including a Auto-Fill & Print of CMS 1500 makes insurance claims as simple as it gets. Visit us at www.TherasoftOnline.com

  1. Penfield Christian Homes is a Christ-centered ministry for reclaiming the lives of adult men suffering from addiction to drugs and alcohol.
Penfield has been in operation for over thirty years, helping approximately 900 men a year find freedom from addiction and live happy, productive lives through our unique, Christ-centered approach.
In 2008 Penfield completed a major expansion from a single campus 30 bed facility, to 3 campuses and almost 100 beds of capacity. With this expansion we were desperate for a solution that would allow central data management of all clients at all campuses. We had in place an old, out-dated Access Database that had almost reached its capacity with only one campus. Therasoft was able to provide an excellent solution to our predicament. They took the functionality of our current system and designed a web interface looking very similar to what we had in place with the Access Database, thus saving the torture of "one lone network admin" having to teach 25 users a new system!!! :)
Along with upgrades to function and design, Therasoft also normalized our 8000+ record-sets, in turn making the whole backend process more reliable and more stable. They continue to provide enhancements upon request, but as the quality of their work is impressive, they stay busy and we must take them as they can get to them. But over-all, we have benefited greatly from the new system and solutions they are providing.

  2. I am a part-time private practice psychotherapist and needed a cost-effective software program to manage and store billing, calendar, contact information and client notes. Therasoft fits the bill. The software is flexible and the software architect has been very helpful in making it work for my specific needs. The employees at Therasoft are open to suggestions and timely with responses. Working with Therasoft has really helped me keep organized and has reduced my overall stress. :)

  3. Pros: Able to track personal and professional appointments.

It was easy to learn and cost effective. The previous program was over $300 a month and though it had a couple of bells and whistles that I liked it was not for therapists.

It has a place for me to put my own notes.

)verall, this is a great program and it has not taken me forever to learn it.

In a glance I can see what a client has scheduled.

Superb customer service. When I have had an issue in the past and let Jas or Gene know, it has been handled in a timely manner. Jas is still tweeking the program so as he is able he still makes changes to make it more user friendly.

Cons: Have had issues with scheduling clients at the same time slots. This has to be turned on or off at the main office and seems to default to the on setting frequently.

It does not have an hourly setting where a person could see if there was a free hour in the middle of the day so you have to count each appt. and check hour by hour to see if you have one open from 2-3 or 4-5 when you work 10-7 etc.

I cannot see if a client cancels an appointment or makes an appointment - who made/cancelled it or when meaning my office manager or me and the reason. We have started using the little box on the side for comments for that but she is unable to see cancelled appointments on her calendar. I only see them on mine.
